Colleen Basaraba works with children and their families, caregivers, teachers, and/or other professionals as a member of a team striving to make your child’s everyday living and learning easier, and to ensure your child’s success.

to parents, school personnel and other
professionals involved with your child.

Colleen Basaraba
Colleen Basaraba is a certified occupational therapist who is registered/licensed to practise occupational therapy in both Canada and the United States. She is a member of:

Colleen has completed post graduate courses in sensory integration, and is certified to assess children using the Sensory Integration and Praxis Tests (S.I.P.T.) and to provide therapy using an Ayers Sensory Integration® approach. Colleen is trained and certified to use iLs® (Integrated Listening System®). Colleen has extensive experience in pediatric and school based occupational therapy, providing assessments, consultation services and direct therapy for children who are having sensory processing, sensorimotor, fine motor, printing, cursive handwriting and keyboarding difficulties. Since 2001, Colleen has been providing consultation and direct therapy services from her clinic, Kids Can..., where she is fully equipped to provide therapy using a sensory integration and sensormotor approach. Prior to receiving her degree in occupational therapy, Colleen was a classroom teacher for nine years. Colleen has presented workshops and inservices to parents, teachers and professional groups on a variety of topics, including sensory processing, sensory integration, fine motor development, pre-printing and printing skill development, cursive handwriting, transition planning and functional programing.
